Filling the mini Klein Bottle (Worlds Smallest Klein Bottle) posed a unique challenge though.
“How to fill the worlds smallest Klein Bottle”

One medium sized Klein Bottle and one super small. Both Klein Bottles purchased on eBay years ago but no longer available. I have also seen some Klein Jars / Klein Bottles on sale on amazon but often unavailable, not sure why.

What is a Klein Bottle?

Klein Bottle Wikipedia:
In topology, a branch of mathematics, the Klein bottle /ˈklaɪn/ is an example of a non-orientable surface; it is a two-dimensional manifold against which a system for determining a normal vector cannot be consistently defined. Informally, it is a one-sided surface which, if traveled upon, could be followed back to the point of origin while flipping the traveler upside down. Other related non-orientable objects include the Möbius strip and the real projective plane. Whereas a Möbius strip is a surface with boundary, a Klein bottle has no boundary (for comparison, a sphere is an orientable surface with no boundary).
The Klein bottle was first described in 1882 by the German mathematician Felix Klein. It may have been originally named the Kleinsche Fläche ("Klein surface") and then misinterpreted as Kleinsche Flasche ("Klein bottle"), which ultimately may have led to the adoption of this term in the German language as well

Magnetic Laptop Shelf Variations & Improvements [Elevator Industry] (IUEC)

Some variations and improvements on our homemade diy portable magnetic laptop shelf used in the elevator industry (IUEC)
https://www.kevingittemeier.com

Several co-workers wanted some so I made several with different magnets and cable/cord types configured in different arrangements to see which laptop shelf worked best (the last model R1V5).
If I were to make more of these diy laptop shelves I would make jibs to speed up the process but this is my least favorite design out of three that I have. This is just the easiest and simplest diy portable laptop shelf to build at home quickly.

From http://mercedesbenzstadium.com

In the last 48 hours the roof has closed at Mercedes-Benz Stadium and it looks incredible!
More facts and figures about the roof’s mechanization:
  • The stadium roof may appear to rotate open but it’s an optical illusion, the roof opens by the movement of eight “petals” that slide open in a straight line.
  • Each of the moving petals cantilever approximately 200 feet inwards towards the center of the stadium and provide a roof covering when the petals are in the closed position.
  • The moveable petal structures are powered by eight mechanized “bogies” which drive the petals along an inner rail and are attached to the outer uplift rail by six roller mechanisms
  • In the closed position the petals lock together to form a water tight seal. Each petal structure is clad with air-inflated ETFE pillows.
  • ETFE is a highly durable, lightweight fabric that is translucent, allowing for a light filled stadium, even when moveable petals are in the closed position.

Mercedes-Benz Stadium showcases retractable roof

ATLANTA - Mercedes-Benz Stadium, the home of Super Bowl LIII, showcased its one-of-a-kind retractable roof on Wednesday.

Construction crews have been working to complete the final phase of construction on the roof in order for it to be fully operational for the Falcons' 2018 football season and next year's Super Bowl. Now that construction is complete, the stadium showed off the roof Wednesday afternoon with a full opening and closing demonstration.

Problems kept the roof closed on the $1.5 billion stadium for most of the 2017 season. The unique roof, designed to open like a camera lens, was open only for the Falcons' first home regular-season game against Green Bay on Sept. 17. It was closed for all other NFL and college games, including the Peach Bowl, the Southeastern Conference championship game and the national championship game.
"Fully operational means you will see us go to much more of an open configuration as we designed at the beginning," Falcons president and CEO Rich McKay previously said. "When it's ready to go, we'll be open depending on weather."

The Associated Press contributed to this report.

————
About a full calendar year after the Falcons’ new home, Mercedes-Benz Stadium, opened to the public, its retractable roof is finally finished. Construction delays and cost overruns set the project back repeatedly, but it seems good to go.

Celebrating the belated completion of Mercedes-Benz Stadium’s retractable roof, stadium officials Wednesday afternoon demonstrated the roof in long-awaited operation.

Atlanta Falcons
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Atlanta Falcons are a professional American football team based in Atlanta. The Falcons compete in the National Football League (NFL) as a member club of the league's National Football Conference (NFC) South division. The Falcons joined the NFL in 1965[4] as an expansion team, after the NFL offered then-owner Rankin Smith a franchise to keep him from joining the rival American Football League (AFL).
In their 51 years of existence, the Falcons have compiled a record of 350–450–6 (341–437–6 in the regular season and 9–13 in the playoffs), winning division championships in 1980, 1998, 2004, 2010, 2012, and 2016. The Falcons have appeared in two Super Bowls, the first being during the 1998 season in Super Bowl XXXIII, where they lost to the Denver Broncos 34–19, and the second being a 34–28 overtime defeat by the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LI.
The Falcons' current home field is Mercedes-Benz Stadium, which opened in time for the 2017 season; the team's headquarters and practice facilities are located at a 50-acre site in Flowery Branch, Georgia.

A million Times. A graphically conceptual, mechanical and engineered based design project. With this kinetic installation, Humans since 1982 present clocks as objects unleashed from a solely pragmatic existence. Locked in its functionality to show the time, the natural character inherent to an analogue clock with its two arms constantly dancing in slow motion around the center, unveils hidden figurative qualities without denying its primary purpose.
The prototype was presented at Design Days Dubai 2013. The artwork was called ‘Times Dubai’ and it was part of an exclusive installation.

A Million Times is both a kinetic sculpture and functioning clock created by Stockholm-based artists´ collective Humans since 1982. With a ‘clock face’ made up of 504 smaller clocks and a width of 7.5m, the entire ‘clock face’ is wider than that of London’s Big Ben (7m). Each of the 1008 clock-hands (504-minute hands and 504-hour hands) are fitted with individual motors, giving the kinetic sculpture the ability to show various patterns, as well as the time and greetings in various languages across different times of the day. The artwork has been commissioned by Changi Airport Group and can now be seen in Terminal 2 at the entrance of the departure hall.
"Metaphorically speaking, we liberated the clock from its sole function of measuring and reporting the time by taking the clock hands out of their 'administrative' roles and turning them into dancers."
–Humans since 1982

A Million Times at Changi, commissioned by Changi Airport Group, was conceived by Humans since 1982 in 2014 and installed in January 2018 in Terminal 2. It is part of Humans since 1982's A million Times project (2013-ongoing).

"Metaphorically speaking, we liberated the clock from its sole function of measuring and reporting the time by taking the clock hands out of their 'administrative' roles and turning them into dancers." – Humans since 1982
A Million Times at Changi is one of the biggest kinetic artworks in the world. With its 7,5 m amplitude it has a 'clock face' that is wider than that of London’s Big Ben (7m).

A million Times 108
A million Times 108. Commissioned by PLATFORM L Contemporary Art Center in Seoul for the museum’s permanent collection. This artwork is part of the A million Times project (2013-ongoing).

A million Times 80 Copper. A million Times 80 Copper 1 is the first piece of a limited edition of 10. Its housing was produced by Jan Eugster who has worked with artists such as Rudolf Stingel and Urs Fischer among others. The artwork is made of electro-formed copper and contains advanced technology.

A million Times 61c contains 61 interconnected clocks. It is part of the A million Times project (2013-ongoing).

ClockClock 24 combines a unique concept, technical precision and expert craftsmanship, resulting in the highest quality form. The idea for ClockClock 24 comes from the original project and brings the concept of kinetic time sculpture to a wider audience, in a more compact and affordable version and lends a joyful satisfaction to the passing of time, in its clever interplay between analogue and digital timekeeping.
Originally commissioned by MoMA’s New York store, ClockClock 24 was developed in close cooperation with engineers and timepiece specialists.
Part kinetic sculpture, part functional timepiece, ClockClock 24 is produced and carefully assembled with true dedication in Humans since 1982’s workshop in Sweden and is currently available on the ClockClock website and through carefully selected retail partners worldwide.

Clock Clock 24 (Sweden)
Designed by Humans since 1982
This statement-making object re-contextualizes time through an ingenious marriage of analog and digital. Twenty-four round clocks come together to create one giant digital display. The clock hands are choreographed, liberating the clocks from the sole purpose of telling time. Can be set for 12 or 24 hour time in three different modes: minimal, medium or elaborate movement between minutes. Made in Sweden of Corian, steel and electric components.

MBS Art collection,
The Art Program at Mercedes-Benz Stadium,

Mercedes-Benz Stadium is one of the most highly-anticipated sports and entertainment venues in the world with a game-day experience that will be unparalleled, but maybe the most unexpected feature will be the incredible art collection that will be showcased inside and outside the stadium.
To incorporate a world-class art collection in the venue, Mercedes-Benz Stadium partnered with the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) in 2015 to professionally commission, curate and install original artwork throughout the stadium. The agreement also includes the professional installation of memorabilia. The Atlanta Falcons, Atlanta United and SCAD jointly surveyed fans and supporters to determine the types of art and aesthetics that most appealed to them. As a result of that research, the themes of the pieces throughout the stadium will focus on what resonates with fans, conveys positivity and remains uplifting

Penny McPhee, president of The Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation, said that the community surrounding Mercedes-Benz Stadium, including Atlanta’s Westside, will be impacted by those themes within the art collection. “Art is universal and, like sports, art is a great equalizer. No matter their background, everyone has a valid opinion about what they like, what excites them, what makes them laugh or cry or think about something differently. The art in the stadium, like the stadium itself, will stimulate conversation, passion and fun.”
In February 2016, through outreach to local art galleries, Atlanta media and the Georgia Council for the Arts, SCAD put out a call for local artists to submit portfolios. Over 650 submissions were reviewed, and select artists presented formal proposals for potential commissions.  Last week, Mercedes-Benz Stadium and SCAD revealed more about what that comprehensive art collection will include. Fifty-three artists were selected – 30 percent of which are local to Atlanta and surrounding cities – to contribute to the collection and over 100 works of art were commissioned, including two signature sculptures.
The first sculpture, a falcon, constructed by Gábor Miklós Szőke of Budapest, will represent the Atlanta Falcons.  The largest free-standing bird statue in the world, the falcon will stand at 41.5 feet tall, with a wingspan of over 64 feet. It will be erected on the main plaza facing the city skyline and be one of the first things people see as they approach Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
The second sculpture was designed to represent the other professional sports team that will call Mercedes-Benz Stadium home, MLS’s Atlanta United. It will be a mirror-faceted soccer ball that will sit by the north entrance of the stadium. This statue will stand almost 35 feet tall and fans will be able to see it from the green space that will be developed on the current site of the Georgia Dome.
All of the artists selected for the program are locally and internationally acclaimed and their work will be strategically placed throughout Mercedes-Benz Stadium, including concourses, club and suite spaces and corporate offices. The idea was for every fan, supporter and guest who comes to Mercedes-Benz Stadium to have the opportunity to see, experience and enjoy it all.
Expertly curated by SCAD, The Art Collection at Mercedes-Benz Stadium will explore themes including football, soccer, the history and culture of Georgia and the Atlanta community. The Collection will feature work across several mediums, including sculpture, painting and drawing, photography, mixed media and digital art.
As one of the most ambitious art programs in scope and scale for a professional sports stadium, The Collection will add yet another unique feature to the stadium that has never been experienced across any other sports or entertainment venue.
“The art program is one more important way to provide ‘wow’ experiences for our fans,” says McPhee. “Hopefully, they will see a diverse collection of artworks by local and international artists that will offer surprising perspectives about sports, art and community.”
